Forecast for today (11/6/2018): Heavy voting with rays of Hope, and winds of Democracy.
Awaken old statue of Liberty, rise high ye stars and stripes; though torn and tattered you can still call our attention to liberty, democracy, justice, and the ideals we must support, promote, and stand up for.
Virtues, morals, honesty, politeness, respect, honor, kindness, acceptance, and fellowship stand tallest when the muck about is the dirtiest, deepest, and most dishonest.
However, we must not behave like these three monkeys.
To keep a clean face we must not sling back mud, we must avoid virulence of feelings and speech and we must walk the line we espouse.
Today we VOTE! With consciousness, with fervor, with our minds and our hearts; we vote with belief in our constitution, and in our representative system of government.
We vote for not only the great people of this nation - all people of this nation - but also for this planet, our only home.
We vote with great trust, optimism, and faith for those we support to represent us and their ability to make the best, compassionate, and advised decisions for us all.

Hugs all around - for the world needs a great deal right now.
Let the signs rapidly dissipate after the election, even the hand-made ones!
Volunteers led by Jessica Alexander set up the polling area a few days before the elections.
COLORS OF THE DAY
We need an awakening of citizens. After election day, we can all choose to find ways to continue to do our part individually, or with community groups. We are a community, we are of one nation, and we are problem solvers.
For a refresher of American core values consider reading: The Declaration of Independence
Listen to Doris Kearn Goodwin, Presidential Historian, Author "Leadership in Turbulent Times".
I will always believe that
caring plus contribution
equals community.
