Imagine, a time when Peace Might Prevail on Earth. Imagine a day in the first week in May along Snipe Island Road in Jericho, Vermont when warming earthen temperatures give birth: colorful Trillium, Trout Lily, and warblers tucked in-between still barren patches of brown. Imagine Roads of Community Living Series #10 giving you a short respite from the lingering effects of winter welcoming you with an announcement of spring with her wildflowers and migratory warblers.
A blue-headed vireo and an ovenbird sing steadily; a black & white warbler invite us off-road along a trail for an extended walk. Otherwise, all is quiet lest you count the gurgling sound of a brook as noise.
So we find a short walk along Snipe Island road and an inviting entree with dessert in the form of a woodlands trail at its end.
Plotting for spring flowers.
A sentry wearing long rusty hair flowing gently down a streamlined neck, eyes of steel, rounded shoulders, wearing an iron tunic, and holding a macabre wide sword, stands motionless as we pass.
Perhaps the fellow named Chase was not so fortunate having reached the end only a short way down a short walk.
Perhaps that explains the seemingly unfinished building with only an anterior and no posterior.
Imagine small flowers becoming large flowers.
IMAGINE THIS
BECOMING THIS
Imagine children laughing, running, playing...outside
observing and interacting with nature.
Don't blink or you will miss the Flicker upon that tree and you might even miss those quick to bloom and as quick to fade away ephemerals as the soil warms and out springs early flowering life.
Sit a spell, give your feet and mind a rest.
Unleash your anchor, allow yourself to float with the swirling stream, feel your joy bubble up, and mix with good cheer.
Imagine, peace on earth, where the birds prevail in the air, and where we share, not disrupt the terrestrial ecosystems of our good earth.
