The Community Center in Jericho, Vermont presented the 2018 Country Garden Tour - "POLLINATORS IN THE GARDEN".
Join fellow garden enthusiasts on Saturday, July 28, 2018, for the self-guided, 2018 Country Garden Tour, "Pollinators in the Garden" from 9AM-3PM. This year's event, benefiting the Community Center in Jericho, features seven enchanting Jericho and Underhill gardens, a complimentary garden tea, and a pollination workshop. Attend the "Pollinator Palooza and Safari" workshop by pollinator conservationist and organic fruit farmer, John Hayden. Later visit with Paul Yanus of Mountain Creek Apiary to study his observation honey beehive. While visiting plant collector Jen Kennedy's garden, enjoy the harmony of plants, birds, cello, and violin. The garden tea will be held at the former home of Vermont's eighth Governor, Martin Chittenden. Enjoy a tour of this historic house and gardens. The Country Tour is sure to be entertaining, enlightening, and educational.
We are delighted to start the tour at Tom and Suzanne Freitas' home.

Remember, no garden is too small, no flower imperfect, no pollinator non-essential: Do whatever you can to support pollinators and at the same time, nourish your soul with flowers and other plants (especially native plants) and the corresponding bees, butterflies, moths, birds, and other pollinators.
P.S. Maeve and I are interested in any outdoor plants (including small trees) folks might have to share. Keep us in mind if you are dividing your perennials or just have too many. Bernie.paquette@yahoo.com.
